Region Kronoberg has digitalised key management

The cost of manually managing all keys has decreased, while maintaining total control at any given moment over who is using the key and where it is located.

– The biggest difference between the manual handling of the past and the current key management system from Creone is that we no longer need to have staff on standby to come to the hospital and unlock various rooms,” explains Allan Knudsen, who is in charge of the hospital’s key inventory.

– Instead, authorized personnel can retrieve the keys themselves. The usage is registered in KeyWin, which gives us a better overview of which keys have not been returned, something that was much harder to track previously. Creone’s products are a functional and user-friendly system that fits perfectly in our organization,” concludes Allan.

– We absolutely see that the implementation of electronic key cabinets has reduced our staffing costs related to key management,” agrees Charlotta from the Kalmar County Council. We no longer need on-call staff in the same way as before. Now the keys are available at the hospital, which facilitates access and increases flexibility as the keys are no longer tied to specific ‘key responsible’ personnel.
